The Roadrunner Sports Club is a community-based youth sports organization. Run solely by volunteers, its mission is to develop the strength of mind, spirit, body, and character of children in the community through an afterschool sports program for youth six to 18 years old. The Club’s primary objective is to improve the quality of life of youth through sports and academics while providing positive leadership and vision to the East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park communities. Though founded in 2007, the Roadrunner Sports Club is built on a foundation laid over the last 30 years. Founder Aaron Johnson used the sport of basketball to teach hundreds of youth in the East Menlo Park and East Palo Alto communities important life skills. Many alumni are now contributing to the success of the Club as board members, coaches and sponsors. The tradition is filled with great accomplishments at the local and national level. We look to continue the tradition for many years to come!
